Where are you located?

We operate out of Frederick, Maryland.  Sometimes we use venues in Washington, DC, Baltimore, southern PA, northern VA, or western WV.

What is a “D&D B&B”?

We are a weekend gaming retreat where guests participate in a game of Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition.

Do you play anything other than D&D 5e?

Yes.  We are happy to run a private party for whatever table-top game you wish, but our “weekend getaways” are currently only D&D 5e.  The beauty of D&D is that it is cooperative and creative, not cutthroat and competitive like Friday Night MTG.

I am a vegan, can your bed and breakfast accommodate my diet?

Yes! We can accommodate any dietary requirements.  Gluten free, Vegetarian, or Low-Carb we offer lots of options.

What does it cost?

Our prices are: $455 for one person in a private room for the weekend, all food and gaming included. $710 for a couple in a private room for the weekend, all food and gaming for 2 people included.

We charge extra if you are interested in a private bathroom.  We require a non-refundable deposit of $100 per person at booking and the rest is due at check in.  We do offer an exchange for a different date.

My boyfriend is not into D&D.  Can I come with my mate?

Yes.  We often offer rooms with separate beds so that two friends can attend.  We have also hosted parents with their older children.

My son is 15 and wants to attend. What is the age range?

D&D is great for all ages! But, we require all guests to be at least 12 and be accompanied by a guardian at least 18.  Guests should be able to read, write, and do basic math.

Do you serve alcohol?

No.  We do not have a liquor license, so we are unable to supply your alcoholic beverages.  We will provide all your non-alcoholic drinks and you are more than welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages.

I have a group I play with every week.  We want a weekend intensive. Can you organize it for us?

Yes!  We would be happy to organize the venue, the food, and even, the game itself.  See Private Parties for more details.

My D&D group already hosts weekend retreats, why do I need Adventure Away?

You don’t.  But if you don’t want to mess with securing accommodations, feeding your party, or DMing the game, then give us a call.
